The surname ACCETTO has appeared in Slovenia with the arrival of Mr. Giusto Accetto. My opinion is that he came with the group of Italian workers between year 1845 and 1849 when the construction of the railway Vienna - Celje - Ljubljana took place.
I believe that Giusto was very active man because already in year 1851 he had
his first own land on Brdo near to Ljubljana /source - land register year 1880 /.
Regarding to the date of birth of Giusto I have found that he married at his age
of 30 years. On this base and some another church document dated 22nd August,1853 parish Vignui(Feltre), Italy I contacted the priest of the parish Pren (Vignui)-Italy. I have received the letter dated 23.3.1993 in which is confirmed that Giusto should be born on 29. July 1822. As a little child he was forestered
by the family of Gioachino Filosa and his wife Anna Perera in the village Vignui.
The real place of his birth is still mystery but it should be probably Venetia and there is also another mystery who were his parents.
He died at home on 10th January in the age of 71 years (1893). His burial was two days later at the cemetery Šentvid near to Ljubljana.
The marriage of Giusto was on 16th October 1853 and his wife was Jera (Gertrude) Malovrh born 15.January 1826 - died 18.November 1896. She died on the address Trnovski pristan 14, Ljubljana and was buried at the old cemetery of St. Christophore /not existing now/, Ljubljana.
